Dennis,
We have been reading your exploits over the last few weeks with interest. There are probably not many people round here who can say they have been on the same boat as Michael Palin, especially one that is nearly 100 years old. Julie is thinking of sending you a new pair of pants for a Christmas present (see earlier blog entry), if Diane has the luggage allowance, but also needs to know what size you take, :-). Also reading what you have been eating, we think you need the old 'Red Cross Parcel' or three!

When you get home Diane probably has plenty decorating for you, but can you ever be able look a packet of Polycell Paste in the eye again? We will also tell the kids to run and hide when the Ice Cream van comes round next year, after reading your entries for Zambia. Next year you could trash then on 'I'm a celebrity' when it comes to the trials! (No we do not watch it, but have just seen some trailers)

Seriously, well done for what you have achieved, now you just have to do the last leg and get ready to make sure you do not let Chris beat you in the Bungie! Don't each any Polycell sandies first though. Hope you, Diane and Chris enjoy your African Christmas.

Best wishes, Iab & Julie

Dennis, having read you commentary about the trrip through the Queen Elizabeth National Park, there is an old saying "that only lunch runs" or in your case "rides" :-)

Seriously, take care and enjoy the experience.

Best wishes,

Ian & Julie

Hello
For the 15th Oct entry in your diary you say you are at your most northernly point of the trip. That is interesting and are you going to mark this on the your map with a pointer? I can't find it marked. It is Murchison Falls but you don't say the name of the park. Is it Kabarega Park? You say it is near Lake Albert. I will have another look at your map page to see if I can find it. Thank you.

Hello. I left a message on your contact form to say that i will be following your progress with interest as i plan to do a trip similar in the future. Will you be updating the google map with the new route and your current position as you progress as i would like to use the same route if possible? It would be a nice way to keep a record of your route and would be able to zoom in and check on the condition on actually type of the terrain you are passing through. I am sure others would also be interested.
Regards John (from US)
