Crossing into the DRC from Rwanda - Bridge at Cyangugu
I never did get to go to the DRC. I gazed across the border on more than one occasion, but as a solo cyclist I considered it too risky to venture into this vast, but potentially dangerous country.
Most of the information and advice I received during my trip was that it would be unwise to visit this enigmatic place, although there were Westerners crossing over, albeit in motorised transport and some reports I received of visitors to the DRC coming out unscathed.
In the future I would love to return and make some inroads into this vast and seldom visited country.
